STARTING LINE -

EnduroCast.com has created a new on-going segment called STARTING LINE, where you can hear Race Organizers, Sponsors and Promoters talk about the sport we all love.  STARTING LINE will bring you information and insight into what it takes to put on off-road events regionally, nationally and internationally.

Check STARTING LINE regularly for updates on races and events from the people who make them happen, whether it's a Regional Enduro, a National Hare Scramble or a World Enduro Championship, EnduroCast.com will try to get the scoop on the race and more.

If you are a dealership, supplier or manufacture and would like to sponsor this segment or a STARTING LINE episode contact us at ads@endurocast.com for rates and information.

New for the week of 3/6/06- hear all about the Alligator Enduro on Starting Line.

Hear Steve Pettenger, the organizer of the 56th annual Alligator Enduro tell us all about the race and how he and the Daytona Dirt Riders pull it off.  The race has a great legacy and history behind it, be sure to hear Steve tell EnduroCast and you what to expect.  This race is one of the many events going on during Dayton Bikeweek! (21:43 min's)

This week on STARTING LINE 2/25-

Bonnie Cook from Mid East Hare Scramble Association
Regional racing is a huge part of the sport, all those hot young riders who are making names for themselves on a National and International level all start somewhere, and for a lot of them it was in a Mid East Hare Scramble Association race. Hear Bonnie Cook, promoter and organizer tells how she gets it done. The Mid East 06 season is about to start and you’ll get an update on new sites and what the schedule looks like this year. Bennie’s commitment to the sport and the people who take part really shows and the MEHSA is lucky to have her.

Tony Brock, 05 World Enduro Championship Official
From regional to world racing, EnduroCast.com covers it for you. With the WEC Grand Prix coming to New York this Summer we wanted to make sure our EnduroCast.com listeners have the background they need to appreciate and enjoy the race. We recently had the opportunity to talk with Tony Brock, 05 WEC Press Officer, from his offices in the UK all about the World Enduro Championship Grand Prix. Find out what it takes to put WEC events across Europe and beyond. Get the scope on the format the different locations and countries and how it all works. That's Tony chatting with World Champion David Knight in in Greece during the 05 WEC Grand Prix.

Sumter Enduro - Ever wonder what it takes to put on a successful Enduro for 300 racers? I did, so I called and talked with Johnny McCoy the organizer of the 2006 Sumter South Carolina USA Enduro.  As you might have guessed there's a lot that needs to happen to pull off a race like this. Hear Johnny talk us through the process and the time needed before and after to GET IT RIGHT.

Johnny will cover everything from land use to selecting and cutting the course, emergency services to putting things (the woods) back to the way they were.  If you are planning on racing Jan 29th in the Enduro this show is must hear!  Thanks to Johnny and the other members of the SERMA club for all the hard work required to put this event on.

Long Cane Enduro - Meet Robert Tanner, Organizer of the 29th Annual Long Cane Hare Scramble and Jr. Enduro. Robert fills us in on the upcoming Long Cane race and much more that he and the Long Cane Enduro Association have planned for the race.

Coming up next week on STARTING LINE-

Later this week EnduroCast.com talks with Pete Francine from P&D Promotions who will be putting on the Hollister National Hare Scrambles in Northern California in late Feb 06.  This race will be Round 2 for the AMA National Hare Scramble title. Hear from Pete and find out what it takes to pull off a AMA National Hare Scramble.

Also for March, we are working to try to get the promoters of both the upcoming Sandlapper Enduro and the Alligator Enduro for you - keep your fingers crossed.
